Needs met ratings given by stakeholders for specific statistical assets
Stakeholders were asked to provide subjective ratings of how well each asset they were using met their needs for informing a particular enduring goal. The ‘Need met’ rating (N) was a rating for each statistical asset on a scale from 1 to 5 where the need was:

    · Fully met = 5

    · Mostly met = 4

    · Partly met = 3

    · Barely met = 2

    · Not met = 1

Of the assets that were given a rating by stakeholders through public submissions, 66% of assets were rated as having mostly or fully met their needs. However, 34% of statistical assets were rated as either not, barely or partly meeting their needs.

Stakeholders from the Department of Agriculture including ABARES also provided subjective ratings of the extent to which their needs were being met. Nearly 90% of the existing statistical assets used by the Department of Agriculture including ABARES, mostly or fully met their needs.

Where a rating was not provided, the statistical asset was removed from this phase of the analysis.
